Damdama Lake

Just an hour away from Delhi, this is an amoeba-shaped natural lake, a little south of Gurugram. It soothes you with its calm and peaceful vibes. It is the biggest lake in Haryana and a favourite hangout spot for the people from Delhi and NCR.

Sultanpur Bird Sanctuary

It is the perfect weekend getaway, especially if you are a nature and birding enthusiast. During the winter months, an astonishing 250 species of various native and migratory birds can be spotted here. The migratory birds come from as far as Siberia, Europe and Central Asia. This sanctuary is located at a distance of 40 kilometres from Dhaula-Kuan in Delhi towards Gurgaon-Farukh Nagar Road.

Murthal

This is the place where people head right in the morning to feast on Parathas. It can be easily called as the Paratha capital of the country as you get nothing but mouth-watering parathas here with dollops of fresh white butter.

Tughlaqabad Fort

If you are interested in history, then you can plan a visit to Tughlaqabad Fort, which is just 20 km from New Delhi Railway Station. Founded in 1321 by Ghiyas-ud-din-Tughaq, the founder of the Tughlaq Dynasty, it is now a heritage property. It is divided into three parts with Bijai-Mandal, the citadel at its highest point being the main attraction. One can easily plan a day’s visit here.

Neemrana Fort

This fort palace built in 1464 AD is today Rajasthan’s oldest heritage luxury hotel. You can plan a weekend stay here and get relaxed completely. The place has the potential to bring you out of the hustle and bustle of city life and charge your batteries completely.
